A Rich and Famous Author Thinks it's Bogus the Most Successful People Wake up at 4 a.m.

To be in the corner office, or near the oval office, it’s been said that you’ve need to have an early wakeup call.

The thing Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, former First Lady Michelle Obama and Howard Schultz of Starbucks fame have in common is that they reportedly wake up at 4am, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Inc. Magazine tweeted that out with some easy ways to boost your productivity before sunrise.

That didn’t go over well with another successful person in the spotlight; author J.K. Rowling.

She made her response quite clear, and it’s received hundreds of thousands of retweets and likes so it’s easy to see she’s not alone in her point of view.

Oh, and she’s also worth $1 billion, according to some reports.

But just because waking up at 4am works for some, doesn’t mean it will work for others.

If you’re not a morning person and try to force it based on the idea that only super-successful people are early risers, you could hurt your productivity because you’ll be grumpy, tired and lose focus.

If the early bird gets the worm, then the early-yet-tired employee needs to chug more coffee to stay awake.
